During summer, the heat and rise in temperature may cause excessive sweating, this can also lead to dehydration symptoms. Again ORS (Oral Re-hydration Salts) which are easily available at the pharmacies can be very helpful. Most ORS are safe for pregnant women and breastfeeding mums. Check with the pharmacists if the brand you are buying is totally safe for pregnant women and recommended for the treatment of signs and symptoms of pregnancy related dehydration.
Skin is elastic, but it can only stretch to a certain point. A growing belly during this stage may show signs and symptoms of itchiness, which is completely normal. Avoid hot showers as this can further prolonge the itchiness. Very mild showers would be ok. The hot water will remove natural skin oils and make the skin more vulnerable to itchiness. Moisturizers may be helpful in such cases and you may consider loose clothing. Scratching the itchy parts may cause bruises and more irritation.
